My wife was dating my room mate when we met. He was moving away, but it was still a bit awkward around him after he found out we were into each other and planned to date after he moved. But, hey, it all worked out cause we got married.
My best friend's girlfriend and I came close when I was in college... we never "did anything" (cooler heads prevailed before we went too far), but that didn't stop him from busting me in the nose when he came over one night.
